Types of Testing

GI-MAP + Stool OMX

Maps gut flora, pathogens, inflammation, intestinal barrier and digestion

GI-MAP

GI-MAP is an advanced stool test that analyzes microbial DNA from a single stool sample using quantitative PCR (qPCR) technology. The test can identify bacterial imbalances (dysbiosis), parasites, viruses, yeast overgrowth, and other potential pathogens — including antibiotic-resistant bacteria — that may contribute to digestive issues, inflammation, impaired nutrient absorption, infections, compromised gut barrier function, and immune system imbalances.

Stool OMX

Stool OMX complements the analysis by providing additional insight into gut function, including:

  • Bile acid metabolism – assesses fat digestion, intestinal motility, and microbial balance
  • Short-chain fatty acid (SCFA) production – shows how gut bacteria ferment fiber and influence the gut lining
  • Gut dysbiosis – identifies imbalances linked to bloating, diarrhea, and constipation
  • Inflammatory processes – provides information on inflammation and gut barrier function

Together, GI-MAP and Stool OMX provide a more comprehensive picture of gut function and microbial environment, helping to identify underlying causes and guide a more personalized treatment plan.

SIBO Breath Testing

Identify bacterial overgrowth linked to bloating, reflux, constipation, and diarrhea.

SIBO Breath Testing

SIBO testing is done through a specialized breath test and may be relevant when symptoms suggest bacterial overgrowth in the small intestine.

What the test can measure:

  • Hydrogen
  • Methane
  • Hydrogen sulfide

Who is this test suitable for?

This test is for you if you frequently experience bloating after meals, constipation, diarrhea, excessive gas, or reflux — especially if symptoms persist despite dietary changes or if you have difficulty tolerating fiber.

Assesses nutritional status, detoxification, energy production, and cellular health

Micronutrient Testing

What the test can measure:

  • Vitamin D
  • Vitamin B12
  • Iron / Ferritin
  • Magnesium
  • Zinc
  • Folate
  • Selenium
  • Omega-3
  • Copper

Food Sensitivity Testing

Exploring immune reactions that may contribute to stomach upset and inflammation

Food Sensitivity Testing

Food sensitivity testing can in some cases provide additional guidance, but results always need to be interpreted together with symptoms, health history, and dietary patterns.

Who is this test suitable for?

This test is for you if you struggle to identify which foods trigger your symptoms, or if you have chronic inflammation or skin reactions.

Metabolomic + Testing (optional, advanced)

Provides a broad analysis of the body's metabolism, nutritional status and energy production

Metabolomic Testing

This test analyzes organic acids, amino acids, fatty acids, oxidative stress markers, toxic load, and essential nutrients. It provides valuable information about nutritional status, energy production, detoxification, mitochondrial function, and neurotransmitter balance.

What the test can measure:

  • Nutrient metabolism
  • Detoxification pathways
  • Metabolic byproducts from gut flora
  • Mitochondrial function

Who is this test suitable for?

  • Fatigue, brain fog, or low mood
  • Suspected nutritional deficiencies despite a good diet
  • Chronic stress, inflammation, or autoimmune conditions
  • Need to support detoxification, antioxidant capacity, and cellular energy

Gut Health

Gut health plays a vital role in your overall well-being, affecting digestion, immunity, and even your mood. A balanced gut contains healthy bacteria that help break down food and absorb essential nutrients. Eating fiber-rich foods, probiotics, and staying hydrated can support a strong digestive system. Reducing processed foods and managing stress also help maintain a healthy gut. When your gut is healthy, your body feels more energized and balanced.
